An 8,000 circulation, tabloid-sized magazine written, photographed, designed and illustrated by University of Missouri School of Journalism students.
Vox Magazine was the highlight of my time at MU. I started off as a freelance illustrator before moving up to assistant art director, art director and ultimately teaching the intro and advanced magazine design classes that were responsible for the visual production of the magazine. It was an amazing experience, working with people passionate about the magazine and design. Because the magazine is a laboratory for student journalists, we had the freedom to produce some great pages (as well as the ability to fail and learn from our mistakes).
